Five Underrated Cities

There are so many options when booking a holiday that sometimes it's overwhelming and you end up going with the most well-known, many

destinations end up getting swept under the rug simply because they

don't have the same publicity or landmarks. So if you're keen to try

somewhere new here are the top five underrated cities I've visited so far...

Tallinn, Estonia

Estonia is a small country in Northern Europe, and Tallinn, its capital, is one of the most charming cities in the region. Estonia has much to offer visitors, especially during the picturesque winter months. Tallinn, in particular, is a hidden gem, with its well-preserved medieval Old Town, stunning architecture, and vibrant cultural scene.

Helsinki, Finland

I also took a day trip over to Helsinki, Finland for a day trip although it didn't have quite the same charming appeal as Estonia I would still recommend a visit if you have a spare day.

Rila, Bulgaria

Rila Monastery, Bulgaria

Rila Monastery is without doubt one of the most spectacular buildings I have seen in person and yet, before booking a trip to Sofia, Bulgaria I had never even heard of it. It is still an active church with resident monks but is open to the public most of the year. The complex includes an intricately painted church in the centre surrounded by living quarters.

Wroclaw, Poland

Most people stay in Warsaw, Poland's capital city and overlook the many other cities Poland has to offer. Wroclaw is located to the West of the country close to the Czech Republic border and has a bright and colourful city center. Like most European cities there is lots of history and architecture to explore. If you want to get out of the city I took a day trip to see Auschwitz or the Tarczyński Arena often has events where I saw Usyk vs Doubis's boxing match.

Rabat, Morocco

Rabat, the capital city of Morocco, is often overshadowed by its more famous neighbours like Marrakesh and Casablanca. However, this underrated travel destination has a lot to offer. With its rich history, stunning architecture, and vibrant culture, Rabat is a must-visit for those seeking an authentic Moroccan experience.

Bratislava, Slovakia city centre

Bratislava, Slovakia

Bratislava, Slovakia is often overlooked as a travel destination in Europe. However, this charming city has much to offer visitors looking for an authentic European experience. Nestled on the banks of the Danube River, Bratislava has stunning architecture, the city's old town, with its narrow streets and colourful buildings, is great to explore on foot.
